So, before I left on this trip I said I was going to blog everyday...well that hasn't happened. But, I know some folks wanted to know what I thought of Universal's "The Wizarding World of Harry Potter". The consensus of my 5 other traveling partners is, and I will have to agree with them that it was the BEST ride and section in Universal. From the minute you leave Professor Sprouts gardens and enter the castle your journey has begun. Now, it might have taken you 2 hours or more to get to that beginning...we got there at 830 so we just had to wait for the attraction to open and it was about 15 minutes in line for the ride itself. As you are making your way through the halls on your way to the ride you see an assortment of Harry Potter Favorites including Dumbledore's office, the Defense Against the Dark Arts room (Where a 3-D hologram of Harry, Hermione and Ron appear). But it really is the ride that is amazing. You're basically flying with Harry on a great journey including Quiditch and come away totally blown away.
I also got to experience Butter Beer and Pumpkin Juice, Butter Beer was my favorite out of the 2. You also wait in lines to get into the different stores including Olivander's Wand Shop, The Owl post which is connected to the robe shop. Although Honeydukes was probably my favorite...it had CANDY!!!

Over all I was very happy with Harry Potter, I only rode the one coaster which was a very short ride.

Well this is my 2nd full day in Disney. Yesterday I went to the Magic Kingdom for the first time in 35 years. As soon as I walked through the gates and got on the Haunted Mansion, I was 13 again. I had a blast and even managed to luck out and ride Magic Mountain 2 times in a row by a fluke. The place is still magical as I hope the pictures show!

First off let me reiterate that I am politically a “liberal” Independent who does not support either party.

But, on my way home from work everyday there is a house whose owner feels he needs to spew his own personal Obama hate messages. He has said some really over the top things including calling him a Fascist and now a Communist. I need to advise you that I am paraphrasing since I am not going to stop and read his hate spewing messages. With the latest Communist message he calls him Chairman Obama and says the following:

Inexperienced
Immature
Under Qualified

First off I’m going to assume that this man is a Republican. So, I would like to take him back to 9-11-01. The nation is under attack and what is HIS President doing but sitting and reading a children’s book to a classroom claiming he didn’t want to upset them by leaving.

As far as I’m concerned THAT showed Inexperience, Immaturity and definitely Under Qualified. And his actions following 9-11 showed it even more.

And I would just like to remind ALL those Republicans and my friend here with his sign that they are being UN-PATRIOTIC when they say things like this about our President and gee they must not support the troops either, according to the rules they set when George W was President and Democrats said thing about him like this.

But, I do have to say to this gentleman,who reminds me of my dad scruffy grey hair and beard, that even though I disagree with everything you say, I will fight for your right to say it because this is America!

I’m sure I’ll be getting some fun comments about this but as always remember to Stop, look around and enjoy your view!
